<p><i><b>Hexapus</b></i> ist eine Gattung der <a href="Krabben" title="Krabben">Krabben</a>-Familie <a href="Hexapodidae" title="Hexapodidae">Hexapodidae</a> mit drei Arten.<sup id="cite_ref-worms_1-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-worms-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Sie besiedeln Flussmündungen und <a href="Litoral" title="Litoral">Gezeitenzone</a> (inter- und subtidal) in Tiefen bis 14 m im westlichen und zentralen <a href="Indopazifik" title="Indopazifik">Indopazifik</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-Poore_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Poore-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>

<p>Der <a href="Carapax" title="Carapax">Carapax</a> ist bis zu 5,5 mm lang.<sup id="cite_ref-Poore_2-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Poore-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Er ist breiter als lang, die Oberfläche ist narbig und die Ränder sind gekörnt. Die Regionen sind kaum abgegrenzt, mittig gibt es eine H-förmige Vertiefung.<sup id="cite_ref-Ng_3-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Ng-3"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>3<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Der dritte bis fünfte <a href="Somit" title="Somit">Somit</a> des <a href="Pleon_(Krebse)" title="Pleon (Krebse)">Pleons</a> sind bei Männchen verschmolzen. Der sechste Somit ist breiter als lang und basal verengt. Das <a href="Telson" title="Telson">Telson</a> ist nahezu dreieckig. Das <a href="Spaltbein" title="Spaltbein">Ischium</a> des dritten <a href="Maxilliped" title="Maxilliped">Maxillipeden</a> ist schmaler als 70 % der <a href="Spaltbein" title="Spaltbein">Meruslänge</a> und bedeckt nicht die Mundhöhle. Das erste <a href="Gonopodium" title="Gonopodium">Gonopodium</a> ist kräftig, in der Mitte um 60° abgebogen, nach vorn und zur Seite gerichtet, am Ende schmaler werdend und freiliegend.<sup id="cite_ref-Poore_2-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Poore-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>

</p><p>Die <a href="Scherenbein" class="mw-redirect" title="Scherenbein">Scherenbeine</a> sind asymmetrisch oder symmetrisch. Die ersten drei <a href="Schreitbein" class="mw-redirect" title="Schreitbein">Schreitbeinpaare</a> sind relativ kurz, insbesondere ihr Merus, und ohne mittige Längsgrube auf der Außenseite. Der Finger ist so lang oder etwas länger als der <a href="Propodus" class="mw-redirect" title="Propodus">Propodus</a> und aufgebogen oder gerade.<sup id="cite_ref-Ng_3-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Ng-3"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>3<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>
